We are looking forward to having all our athletes race in the next couple of months and we are even more looking forward to your support. We will make sure to introduce all and every athlete starting for the good cause in the next couple of days and of course – if you are racing any of the above mentioned races – we’d be stoked to see you become a part of it.

Just to give you a rough idea about what’s coming up: a super auction with hand signed jerseys and more from some of the coolest teams and athletes out there, a charity auction with some great prices to auction off, an intro of the races and of course – our uber-cool Skinfit made, special edition loose fit shirt!!! That’s what we have to say after the feedback over the last couple of weeks. We are both stoked and a little scared by all the support and great ideas coming our way.

There are athletes from the US asking if they could race and support Team Streetkids during their races in the US the same way athletes will do here at Challenge Copenhagen and at Challenge Roth. We have more and more athletes from Europe joining the great cause – we promise that we will post their profiles this week – and it looks like there will be more races joining this project.

Till Schramm from Cologne just contacted us that he is on board and that he is trying to get the Cologne226 on board – which of course would be awesome.

So please bare with us and the slow updates of the site while we try to wrap our head around all your great support and how to channel that into the right directions.

In the meanwhile – keep coming our way. More athletes and more races mean more help for the street kids in Kenya.

Over the last couple of weeks we have been approached by more and more of you asking to extend our charity efforts to other races – which of course makes sense. Not everybody can start at Challenge Copenhagen 2010.

We really appreciate the feedback and we love the idea – so we are currently sitting down to see how we can make this happen for all of you guys out there – and the super cool news is – while we were sitting down talking we had a great chat with Felix at Challenge Roth www.challenge-roth.de and he agreed to support our charity efforts at his race. So if you can’t make it to Copenhagen on August 15th – save the other date July 18th, 2010.

We don’t have all the info together yet, as we just talked to Felix but besides helping us out by making it possible for us to start with Team Streetkids at Challenge Roth but we know for sure already that he is throwing in a free slot for 2011 which we’ll raffle off to a lucky winner. To be eligible to win the slot – simply donate and mention Challenge Roth in the subject line  - or wait until we start posting athletes who start at Challenge Roth and donate money to their individual efforts!

Challenge Roth - another chance to support Team Streetkids

On the weekend I had the great pleasure of meeting with some of the companies showing us a lot of support and it is crazy what they are willing to do for us  -thanks a million for the support.

Biestmilch will be donating from EVERY sale made between Christmas Eve December 24th 2009 and the actual race day of Challenge Copenhagen on August 15th 2010.

Skinfit Germany will be producing a special edition shirts and proceeds of each sale will go to the charity as well.

We are working on a special training camp in beautiful Black Forest with the support of multiple Ironman winner Olaf Sabatschus with the grand finale being something like a 24 relay run for the charity or similar. We are working on the details.

It even looks like we’ll be getting our own report about the project in the magazine you wanna have it in – but more about that once the report is in print

You see – we are doing everything we can for the kids from our side and we would really appreciate your support. Best thing folks – if you don’t wanna put money on one of our athletes you can simply donate on the Donations Page on this blog and every donation over 30 Euro is still entered for the cool raffle with prices such as pro training days, free race starts, brand spanking new wetsuits and so much more.

On August 15th, 2010 we will be lining up at the start of Challenge Copenhagen www.challengecopenhagen.com to conquer one of the toughest endurance events in the world. IRONMAN. In the first ever edition of this race we will be swimming 2.4 miles, cycle 112 miles and run 26.2 to raise 25.000 Euro to build a new sleeping hall for streetkids in Africa. Hey guys, here we go for our latest challenge – some of you will remember our ‘A jersey for an orphan’ charity we held last year with the support of athletes such as Chrissie Wellington, Mirinda Carfrae, Craig Alexander, Norman Stadler and many more. It was a great success and the money was well spent in a sports project to get our Streetkids off the street as boredom is one of the biggest dangers and main source of crime with those kids.
